The second Looking Glass adventure for Alice

Alice looked out across the immense expanse of snow that blanketed her family home. It was a beautiful sight to behold, as if the house was a magical place that had been frozen in time. The snow sparkled and shimmered in the light, as the trees and bushes were adorned with delicate sheet of white. The air was filled with a pleasant chill, and Alice could almost hear the hushed whispers of the snowflakes as they whispered secrets and delightful tales.

Alice felt a sense of wonder come over her, of possibility and adventure. She had often wished, as a little girl, that she could go somewhere far away, somewhere magical, where she could explore and discover something new. Now, she felt as if that dream had been granted.

Alice stepped back from the window, still captivated by the beauty of the snow, and turned to her bedroom mirror. She had been told stories about the looking glass, and how it could transport one to a mysterious, faraway realm. With a deep breath to steady her nerves, she stepped forward and reached out her hand. With trembling fingers, she touched the glass, and the world around her seemed to change.

The glass shimmered and Alice stepped through, the transition complete. Before her, a strange new landscape opened up, with snow-covered hills, magical forests, and a brilliant night sky. There were strange creatures darting in and out of the shadows, and Alice felt a thrill of fear and excitement course through her.

She took a few tentative steps forward, marveling at the beauty of this new realm. Everywhere she looked, there were twinkling stars in the sky and a thick snow that blanketed the trees and rocks. The trees seemed to be alive, swaying in the gentle breeze, and the snowdrifts had taken on a strange, glittering glow.

Alice heard the echo of music in the distance, and followed its spellbinding melody. As she walked, she came across a path of glittery stones that seemed to lead somewhere, somewhere deep into the forest. Following the path, Alice soon arrived at a massive castle, its turrets reaching up towards the night sky.

Alice gazed in wonder and awe at the majestic castle before her, its towering walls and imposing facade creating a sense of grandeur and mystery. She felt as if she had stepped into a fairytale, for the castle seemed almost alive with its twinkling lights and the music that echoed in the air.

Alice walked through the castle gates and paused in the main courtyard, looking around her in amazement. She could see all kinds of strange and wonderful creatures, as well as dwarves, elves, and other magical beings. She walked further into the courtyard, and as she did, she saw a large fountain in the center, in which a woman formed from marble stood.

Alice approached the fountain cautiously, and as she peered closer, she realized that the woman in the fountain was actually a statue. On her arm was a plaque, with the inscription:

“Here lies Alice, who stepped through the looking glass for a second time one snowy Christmas eve. She had a courage and heart unlike any other, and through her bravery and determination, she found the courage to explore the unknown.”

Alice smiled to herself, feeling a powerful sense of pride and accomplishment. She had done something that most people would never have dared, and she felt a great sense of accomplishment. With a sense of newfound courage, she looked around the castle, eager to explore and discover its secrets.

ALIENS LANDED IN BALLYKILLDUFF

Gordon Walker was an adventurous boy, the kind of child that might drive his mother to distraction at times. He was never meant to stay put in one place for too long, and so it was no surprise that on the day the spaceship descended, Gordon was out in the fields beyond Ballykillduff, Ireland, exploring as he always did.

He was tramping up a broad hillside, kicking through the clover-studded grass with the wild abandon of a child who felt at one with nature. The sky was clear and the sun was beginning to dip low, painting the world in hues of gold and orange. It was the kind of evening that held a special kind of magic, and Gordon was reveling in it.

But as he crested the hill, Gordon stopped short. His gaze had been caught by something in the sky just beyond the horizon. It was a strange sight, something Gordon had never seen before.

It was a brilliant silver object, a perfect circle in the sky, like something out of a sci-fi movie. Gordon stood still, transfixed by the sight. He had no idea what it was or where it had come from, only that it was something incredible.

For a few moments, Gordon simply stood and watched in awe. Then, as he watched, the object began to descend, floating down from the sky. Gordon could see that it was indeed a spaceship of some kind, with a large dome on top and sleek, curving panels around its sides.

As the ship descended, Gordon’s heart raced with excitement. He could hardly believe his eyes – here, in the middle of rural Ireland, was an alien spaceship! Instinctively, Gordon crouched down, not wanting to be seen.

The spaceship slowly descended until it settled on the ground with a soft thud. Gordon couldn’t help but gasp in amazement. He had never seen anything like it before. For a few moments, the ship simply sat there, as if waiting. Then, Gordon heard a loud hissing sound, and a door on the side of the ship opened.

Two figures stepped out, and Gordon’s heart skipped a beat. They were aliens! They weren’t like anything Gordon had ever seen before. They were tall, thin, with long, spindly limbs and bright, silver eyes.

Gordon watched in amazement as the aliens stepped away from the spaceship and began to look around. He couldn’t believe it – aliens had come to Ballykillduff!

The two aliens looked around the small Irish village for a few moments, then began to walk away. Gordon followed them, keeping a safe distance. He wanted to understand what they were doing here.

The aliens made their way to the edge of the village, to a small, grassy hill. There, they paused and looked up at the sky. Gordon stopped, watching them closely. The two aliens seemed to be talking to each other, though Gordon couldn’t understand a word of it. Suddenly, the aliens stopped talking and both pointed up at the sky. Gordon followed their gaze, and his jaw dropped in amazement.

High above the Irish countryside, a fleet of ships had appeared in the sky. For a moment, Gordon just stared, unable to believe his eyes. He had never seen anything like it before. These ships weren’t like the small alien craft that had just landed – these ships were huge, metallic, and filled with a strange, otherworldly light. Gordon watched in awe as the ships descended and slowly began to circle around the area.

The aliens watched the ships for a few moments, then turned and walked away. Gordon followed them, not wanting to let them out of his sight. He wanted to figure out what was going on.

He followed the aliens as they made their way to the edge of an old wood. There, they stopped and looked around. Gordon could see that they were looking for something – but what?

Just then, a loud screeching sound split the air. Gordon looked up and saw a strange creature flying overhead. It had wings like a bat and a long, curved beak. Gordon recognized it – it was a dragon!

The aliens watched the creature for a moment, then began to follow it, still searching for something. Gordon followed them, staying hidden in the shadows of the trees.

The aliens eventually reached a clearing in the woods. There, the dragon came to a stop and perched on a tall boulder. Gordon watched in amazement as the dragon began to transform. Its wings stretched out, and its body began to shrink and change shape. Soon, a tall, strange figure stood in the clearing.

The alien figure was tall and thin, with long flowing robes and an almost ethereal beauty. He raised his arms and began to speak in a strange, alien language. The aliens seemed to understand – they both bowed their heads in reverence.

Gordon watched in amazement as the figure spoke. He couldn’t understand a word, but somehow he sensed that this figure was here to help the aliens in some way. He was no longer scared – he felt safe and protected.

The figure finished speaking and the aliens bowed their heads once more. Then, without a word, they turned and made their way back to the spaceship, leaving the figure in the clearing. Gordon watched them go, feeling both scared and excited.

It was then that Gordon realized what had happened – he had just seen an alien spaceship descend from the sky, and he had watched as two aliens greeted a mysterious figure in the woods.

For a long time, Gordon simply stood there, trying to take it all in. Then, slowly, he began to make his way back to Ballykillduff, his mind full of the wondrous sight he had just seen.

Zombie Apocalypse

The noise was barely audible above the sound of pouring rain. It came from outside, some distant part of the night. To Mike, it sounded like a distant drumming, or maybe just the low rumble of thunder. He had heard it before, on storms like this one, but never for so long.

He stood in his bedroom, watching the rain roll down the windowpane. He was alone, as he had been for weeks, living alone in this old farmhouse in rural America. The sound of the rain was soothing, and Mike was almost lulled to sleep until the noise returned, louder now. He could feel the hair on the back of his neck stand on end, and he shivered despite the warmth of the night.

Something was out there, something dangerous. He was sure of it.

He grabbed his flashlight from the bedside table, the only weapon he had in the house. He hurried to the door, his heart racing in his chest. He had to find out what was out there. He had to know.

He opened the door and stepped out onto the porch. The rain was coming down hard, drenching him in an instant. He shielded his eyes and scanned the yard, but nothing seemed out of the ordinary. He took another few steps and the noise got louder, like a deep humming. He stopped in his tracks and listened, his heart pounding in his ears.

There, in the shadows, he saw something. It was too far away to make out, but it seemed to be coming closer. He held his breath and waited, his flashlight ready in his trembling hand.

The creature stepped into the light of the porch. It was tall and thin, with long, thin limbs. Its flesh was a pale grey, its eyes dark and empty. It was a zombie.

Mike stumbled backward, the flashlight falling from his grip. He had always known the zombie apocalypse was coming, but he had never expected to confront one of them in his own backyard. He ran back into the house, fear coursing through his veins. He slammed the door shut and leaned against it, panting.

He was safe, for the moment. But he knew he couldn’t stay here forever. He had to find a way to survive the zombie apocalypse. He just had to.

He did what he always did when he was feeling scared and helpless: he opened his laptop and started researching. He read articles on survival tactics, zombie anatomy, weaponry, and more. He read stories of other survivors, and their tales of courage and hope in the face of the undead. He read until the dawn came, and the rain stopped.

When the light of day finally came, Mike had a plan. He had his own way to survive the zombie apocalypse, and he was ready to put it into action. He just had to survive long enough to do it.

Alice in Wonderland Christmas Adventure

Alice in Wonderland Christmas Adventure

Once upon a time, in the whimsical world of Wonderland, Alice found herself embarking on a very curious Christmas adventure.

Decked out in her festive attire, complete with a crown made of mistletoe, Alice stumbled upon the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, which had transformed into the Merriest Hatter’s Christmas Extravaganza. The Mad Hatter and his friends were sipping tea from ornate cups adorned with twinkling lights, and happily munching on gingerbread rabbits.

Alice couldn’t resist joining in on the merriment and decided to stay awhile. She danced with the Cheshire Cat to jingling tunes played by a band of musical playing cards. The White Rabbit even taught her some new ‘hoppy’ dance moves.

As the day turned into night and snowflakes began to fall gently from the sky, Alice stumbled upon the Queen of Hearts decorating her royal Rose Garden. With a mischievous grin, she ordered Alice to help place candy canes on every stem – oh my! It was quite a sight!

Finally, as Christmas Eve approached, the Caterpillar transformed into Santa Claus – complete with his rather unusual reindeer consisting of butterflies and caterpillars. He handed out presents to all those in attendance at Wonderland’s Christmas extravaganza.

Alice was overwhelmed by all this festive frenzy but couldn’t help but be filled with joy as she realized that Wonderland truly knows how to celebrate Christmas like no other place in the world.

And so, amidst laughter and wonderment galore, Alice bid farewell to her newfound friends promising that she would return next year for another extraordinary Christmas adventure in Wonderland – where anything is possible!

So this holiday season when you think about wonderland adventures or sing carols by candlelight think back to Alice’s enchanting journey through a whimsical Christmas season that will warm any heart this precious holiday season!

32nd December.

32nd December.

If you liked Harry Potter you will love this story
As I sat uneasily atop my hound-horse, a large and fast animal as much greyhound as horse, I slipped my left hand into my jacket pocket and felt the cold steel of my trusty old lighter. Grasping tightly securing it in my sweating palm I carefully removed it from my suit pocket exposing the shiny metal to the bright rays of sunlight. My eyes, looking down onto my now open hand, squinted as the reflected rays tore away in several distinct directions, and my fingers clutched its familiar presence ever tighter. It was only a common and ever so ordinary cigarette lighter, but I felt an affinity with it; like that of an old friend. I ran my fingers along it, like petting an dog, then suddenly an almighty crack of thunder exploding directly overhead, in a tempestuous fury, brought my attention back to the task in hand the outcome of which promised life or death to each and everyone of us. So, without further ado, I cleared my mind and began speaking. I began reciting words, words which had only seconds earlier entered my tired brain, I said…”

“I hold this item in this my hand
To act as a bridge in these our plans
We need a distraction, a disturbance right now
To help Kakuri and the HU BA HOU.”

“No sooner had I finished speaking, and the last word left my lips, the sky began to darken. The dark clouds, appearing from nowhere, grew larger and larger and blacker and blacker until they had joined together in one congealed mass of undiluted anger. In a few short minutes the sky had changed from a deep summer blue to a black so dark day had turned into night.
Some of the assembled hound-horses sidestepped nervously, their handlers struggling to calm them. The wind began to blow, soft at first, but increasingly stronger. Then the heavens, opening in a deluge of rain, spewed thunder and lightning the likes of which I had never before seen; a storm, a full-blown storm was upon us.”
“And a storm was exactly what Kakuri needed. Through the driving rain, speaking directly to the HU BA HOU, she said, ‘Now my friend, it’s up to you – do your best.’ And with those words still lingering in its cavernous ears the huge animal took off at full-gallop heading straight for the Timeless Gates guarding the walled city of Onisha. The animal, sensing this was the final offensive, kept its large heavyset and armour-plated head well down. The storm now so intense Kakuri had, after only a few seconds, lost all sense of direction. She had no way of knowing if she was still on course, all she could do was trust the HU BA HOU, and hold on for dear life.”
“As if that were not enough for me to be worried about Kiliki had, meanwhile, given the order to the impatient, assembled Onishians to attack. And who could blame their impatience? It was their land, and they wanted revenge! The entire rag-tag collection of Onishians and their assorted animals plus the Orlu (a separate race of small ever obliging speedy people) were now hot on Kakuri’s heels with no intention of being left behind in the middle of nowhere, and in such a terrible storm. Soaked to the skin they all rushed headlong into the unknown. Some shouted, others roared and still others screamed with the delight they felt rising up against the man who had promised so much, who had given so little and who taken everything.”
“I could see the huge beast’s armour-plated defences, which had, only hours earlier, been carefully crafted by the ingenious Orlu, sparkling brilliantly in the reflected lightning flashes. The plates, of every conceivable shape and size, colliding with one another clanged loudly in a surreal musical tempo, and if there was anybody, within the walled city, still capable of seeing through the blinding, driving rain they would have been filled with the fear of God.
Suddenly, just short of the still-defiant gates, the HU BA HOU stopped. We all stopped dead in our tracks, wondering just what could be the problem. Then the tank, the ugly humpy-tank of an animal, clawing at the ground (like a bull), rising on its hind legs (like a horse) while roaring its own unique ear-shattering cry lifted its large, ugly head one last time before hurling itself forward with the gates set firmly in its sights, nothing could stop it now…”

“Watching, from the relative safety of a short distance behind, my mind wandered trying to remember how this had all come about. Why, only a few days earlier I had been all set for Christmas. I remembered sitting comfortably in front on the TV, looking forward to a well-earned rest. And now, here I was in an alien land about to follow a fair maiden atop an abomination of a creature called a HU BA HOU in an assault on a walled city, searching for a man called Miafra – for a man who would be a god. Searching for a man who had stopped time, stolen the chi (the free will) of the people and drained the powers of the most revered Mystic in the entire land. My thoughts, racing, drifted back to Christmas Eve those few short days ago…”
